We lead the national campaign for a national Human Rights Act. We grow public support for protecting our rights in law and conduct direct advocacy with decision makers to enact an Australian Human Rights Act.
Advocating for state and territory human rights acts and charters
We support local efforts to strengthen existing human rights charters and acts in Victoria, Queensland and the ACT, and to secure new charters or acts in states and territories that don’t yet have them.
Advocating for human rights reforms at the UN
We work in coalition with civil society partners to ensure Australia complies with the international human rights laws it has promised to uphold. We use UN scrutiny, international pressure, and national media coverage to prompt positive human rights change.
