Annual Human Rights Dinner 2013
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce the 2013 Annual Human Rights Dinner will be held in Melbourne on Friday 3 May 2013.
The Annual Human Rights Dinner is an opportunity to come together to celebrate recent human rights achievements and to energise the human rights movement to tackle challenges that lie ahead. It is also an important fundraiser for Human Rights Law Centre and Public Interest Law Clearing House.
The keynote address will be delivered by Justice Edwin Cameron of the Constitutional Court of South Africa.

Described by former South African President Nelson Mandela as one of South Africa’s modern heroes, Justice Cameron became a lawyer in the early 1980s during apartheid and has had an impressive impact on human rights law. Justice Cameron worked to safeguard human rights in the new Constitution of South Africa, the first national constitution to include sexual orientation in its equality clause. He was the first senior official in South Africa to openly state that he was living with HIV/Aids and he continues to advocate passionately for stronger equality laws. |
Also be sure to check out the items in our fundraising auction which will conclude at the dinner.
