The Human Rights Law Centre seeks a Senior Lawyer to join our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rights team, and a Philanthropy Officer to assist with the management of our fundraising and grant seeking.
Senior Lawyer, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Rights Team

Melbourne based.
This is an exciting Senior Lawyer position reporting to the Legal Director who leads our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Rights work. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help achieve enduring legal and policy change and justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. You will have good management support, input into strategic direction of our work, a collaborative and supportive work environment, and opportunities for growth and development.
This position will focus on achieving our goals around a fair and compassionate youth legal system and ending mass-imprisonment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Philanthropy Officer
Ongoing, part-time position (0.8EFT; 30.4 hours per week)
Melbourne based.
The Philanthropy Officer will report to the Development Manager and will assist the Human Rights Law Centre in managing our fundraising and grant seeking activities. This important role will help strengthen important relationships with our supporters to increase our human rights impact and financial sustainability.
